As well as giving physicians complete control of their digital tools, CommandEP is shown to improve localization accuracy by up to 50% within the heart.
Essentially, CommandEP uses real-time data from catheters and 3D electroanatomic mapping systems, to recreate an anatomical and electrical map of the particular patient’s heart.
In addition to better accuracy, CommandEP dramatically reduces the number of commands physicians give attending colleagues in the same OR room.
Tests show that our technology reduces an average of 1.7 commands per target point to 0.17. And considering a physician targets some 100 points during a standard interventional procedure — that’s a significant improvement.
We currently use Microsoft’s Hololens hardware as the delivery platform for our CommandEP augmented reality software. And, while we appreciate the ‘cool tech’ aspect of our solution, it’s categorically not designed to be a video game(!).
That said, the gaming industry showed us the need to create immersive experiences to maximize engagement and improve awareness — in a way that enhances the physical environment. Kudos.
